The inscription reads: AGILULUFUS. GRATIA. DEI. GLORIOUSUS. REX. The crown was brought from the cathedral of Monza to Milan by an escort of the Guard and citizens of Monza. Napoleon was following in the footstep of Charlemagne who in 774 had conquered the Lombards and assumed the title King of the Lombards . As he placed the crown on his head， Napleon spoke the traditional words of the ceremony， God has given it to me; let him beware who touches it! Napoleon was now Emperor of France and King of Italy. in Obverse of this medal， Nopleon portrayed himself as the heir Charlemagne， who had done the same thing. （コメント） フランス皇帝ナポレオン一世は、1805年5月26日にミラノのドゥオーモで戴冠しイタリア王となりました このときナポレオンは通常の王冠で戴冠した後、鉄王冠(※1参照)でランゴバルド王国の儀式に従った宣誓を行いました。 この商品はヤフオク!一括出品ツール「オークタウン」で出品されています。 ※1 キリストの貼り付けに使用された釘を薄く引き延ばし、幅1cmほどの細い帯状にしたといわれているものを王冠の裏側に貼り付けてあることから鉄王冠と呼ばれています。この王冠は、古代ランゴバルド王国の王であるチューリンゲン族のアギルルフスの王冠として古くから伝わる聖遺物です。
